After a few weeks of trying to find out who owned the twitter user dojo, I've given up, and registered dojotoolkit. So, if you want to follow along with Dojo on twitter, follow http://twitter.com/dojotoolkit

Summer of Code - one more week for applications
Applications, ideas, and questions about Summer of Code have been coming thick and fast into Dojo over the past couple of weeks. We've got some very promising and well thought-out proposals from smart students, but we want more!
Google has just announced that the deadline for applications has been extended until April 7. So if you've been thinking about SoC but been too busy for whatever reason, now's your chance...

Dojo 1.1 Released
The moment has arrived. I've been anticipating this since the first new fixes to trunk were made, shortly after the 1.0 release. I am proud -- no, elated -- to announce what marks another solid run of around-the-clock development: The Dojo Toolkit version 1.1
Dojo @ Google Summer of Code
Dojo has today been officially selected as a mentor organisation for the 2008 Google Summer of Code.
Summer of Code is here!
Google is again running the Summer of Code programme in 2008, and Dojo is gearing up to participate. Over the past three years, Google has spent millions of dollars to pay over 1500 talented individuals to work on open source software projects. At Dojo we have some big goals for this year, and right now we're starting to look for students, mentors, and project ideas.

The grid is coming!
The new Dojo Grid is coming soon, and I'm now ready to announce the plan.
Blog entry: http://www.sitepen.com/blog/2007/09/16/the-dojo-grid/
Press release: http://sitepen.com/pressReleases.php?item=20070917
Short version of the story:
- TurboGrid is coming to Dojo thanks to SitePen, Mozilla, Nexaweb, Redfin, Snaplogic, and TurboAjax Group (prior to and after their acquisition by ActiveGrid).
- It will be updated for the 1.0 release and feature all of the Dijit goodness.
New Dojo Offline Release
I've pushed out a small, new version of Dojo Offline. Release notes:
* An optional new feature has been added to speed up the sync process. Currently, we always refresh the list of offline files during syncing; this can be quite slow if you have alot of files, however, and I have added a way to version your offline files. This means that we only refresh offline files when the version changes, which can speed up syncing considerably. More details here.
