I am new to the forums so please let me know if I should post this question elsewhere. Also, although I did search the documentation and the support site I did not come across this issue... if this has been addressed already please let me know and I will look there.

Some browsers can be set to disable (and the user may not be able to change the setting due to corporate polices etc) the XHR object (and / or ActiveX controls)in these cases is there a workaround employed?
1. With IE 7 only the XHR object can be disabled

Dojo: 1.0.2, (custom build)

In my page I use a TabContainer, which loads every tab's content trough XHR. If I'm changeing the active tab while it is loading in random cases I get an error in IE and FF.
IE: currentStyle is null or not an object
