What does your service provide?TeamPatent is a hosted service for patent attorneys and inventors to collaboratively prepare patent applications. It's similar to Google Documents and adds ability to create image annotations and refer to them in the text. TeamPatent's core components are the browser-based rich-text editor (dijit.editor) and drawing annotator (dojox.sketch) with collaborative glue logic. Is this service open to the public? We expect to launch a public beta mid-2008 What version of Dojo, and what components are you using? We use Dojo 1.0 and extend the dijit.Editor and dojox.Sketch widgets (we maintain both projects). What made you choose Dojo?We chose Dojo because, after studying TinyMCE & FCKEditor, we determined that Dojo's Editor was best suited to our needs and surrounded by tools and a community we could leverage. Our project lead is liucougar who helped write Editor. We receive assistance on Dojo's vector graphics support from Tom Trenka of SitePen (ttrenka) who continues to help support Sketch. What was your favorite thing about working with Dojo? The rich-text editor (dijit.editor), dojox.sketch/dojox.gfx, and the Dojo community. |
