IT Hit AJAX File Browser is a cross-browser file manager that utilizes standards-compliant protocol for communicating with server and provides Microsoft Office integration.

The IT Hit AJAX File Browser is fully independent of server-side technology, your server can run .NET, Java, PHP or any other programming language, the only requirement: it should be WebDAV RFC 2518 compliant.

The cool thing about IT Hit AJAX File Browser is that you can create and open Microsoft Office documents directly from web in Internet Explorer and then save them back to the server from a Word, Excel or PowerPoint interface. You do not need to download them locally or install any tools on a client computer!

The project provides GWT wrappers for the Dojo widgets. The toolkit is developed by Objet Direct and France Télécom.

Indeed the Dojo toolkit is very rich in term of widgets and utilities (fisheye, slider, drag and drop functionality) and the main interest is to take benefits of the huge work which has been already done by the Dojo community.

In other words, it means:

• Dojo widgets become GWT widgets
• Dojo utilities become GWT helpers
