Provilla, Inc. is looking for a senior Java web developer to join their server side GUI team. Located in Mountain View California, Provilla provides intelligent endpoint enforcement technology and real-time solutions that prevent enterprise information leaks from online and offline devices, external network channels, messaging applications, and wireless interfaces.
- Understand business requirements of web applications.
- Produce feature specifications to meet the business requirements.
- Design web application user experience and interfaces.
- Coordinate feature, user experience, and UI review with stakeholders of the project
- Monitor and optimize web site performance.
- Strong experience on large-scale software product development with Java/J2EE.
- Good understanding of programming fundamentals.
- Good understanding of software architecture and Object Oriented design.
- Appreciation of software development methodology/process and best practices.
- Ability to think abstractly and communicate effectively.
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to learn and get up to speed quickly.
- Adaptive, open-minded, and willing to explore different approaches, and proactively manage various tradeoffs.
- Strong team player with dedication, willingness to take initiative, and can-do attitude.
- Cross platform experience (Windows, UNIX, and LINUX).
- Knowledge of web 2.0 technologies such as Ajax, and Java/JSP, and performance tuning concepts.
- Experience with open source community web site software such as Spring or Dojo.
- Experience with high-volume websites is a plus.
