My team at Guardbook Technologies has started the Instant Book Search (www.instantbooksearch.com ) service. This service is trying to bridge the digital divide by reaching out to a lot of schools, colleges all over India to help build digital libraries for them.

To make the IBS sustainable, we need 25,000 users by April 2008 end. I would appreciate it if the members of this forum help us get those users. Registration is FREE.

IBS currently is in ‘Beta’ stage and has over 850 books which are free to read. IBS will soon have more than 20,000 free books in 60+ languages. IBS is also going to have all the popular books for purchase in its bookstores/libraries and is planning to be the largest collection of Indian language books online. IBS supports more than 60 languages including international languages like English, French, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, German, Dutch, Swahili, etc. IBS also supports all major Indian languages like Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Tamil, etc.
